Photographer's Note
The first month of Arabic calendar, Moharram, starts with ten days of mourning in the Shia communities around the world. On the tenth of Moharram of the Lunar Arabic year 63, the third Imam of Shias were martyred in Karbala, Iraq. This anniversary is considered as the most sad day in the Shia calendar when they decorate streets and squares together with mourning.
