Photographer's Note

I prefer to travel alone but it happens that I also join the organized groups. It would be no problem to see the main cities in Iran individually, like Tehran, Shiraz, Yazd, but would be more difficult or impossible to see Kaluts, desert or Islands.
The island of Hormuz was the highlight of my Iran journey although my 40 years dream was to see Persepolis.

Hormuz Island is an Iranian island in the Persian Gulf. Located in the Strait of Hormuz, 8 kilometres off the Iranian coast, the island is part of Hormozgan Province.

Hormuz was visited by Marco Polo, the famous traveller, at around 1290 while travelling by land, as described in his travelogue.

Ibn Battuta also visited the island.
In the 15th century, Hormuz was visited several times by a Chinese fleet led by Zheng He as he explored the Indian Ocean during the Ming Dynasty's naval ventures.
Due to its location, Hormuz Island has a tropical climate. Almost all the year, the humidity is about 95%. Summers are extremely hot and humid, with sunny days, and an average high temperature more than 45 蚓. The lowest temperature at night is approximately 30 蚓.

To visit the island it is best to travel there between November and April, in which the weather still remains warm, but not hot!
The land of colorful soils, which is located on an island named Hormuz in south of Iran, glare among the blue waters of the Persian Gulf.

The plain like a yellow river flows through the mountains and takes you into a world of colors and roles. Under the surface cavities of salt crystals have been created that make unique scenes.

This amazing landscape has never been shown on TE.
