Street scene shot #4.
I actually intended to take this shot a few degrees more to the left, but I just didn't have the heart for it. I felt too sorry for him.
Still, as it is, I feel it conveys the feeling of strong contrast between the sad and lonely begger shined so strongly & the shadowed woman closer to him.
Lens is as usual here, Sigma 70-300 APO.

I think you managed very well this big contrast. I like very much the light and very little green sepia. This makes the mood. The defference between man in light and in darkness is well seen. I don't know what is in background - if it has something to do with the begger. I'm reflecting the same about dark man. Would be good to make a connection between those elements, maybe by mentioning in yournote. But still I like it.

I'm discovering your street scenes with much pleasure. I like the juxtaposition between the two profiles, one in the shadow, the other one enlightned in his solitude. The facial expression of the beggar is very strong, and there is somehow a dramatic atmosphere and a certain tension coming from the way his body seems curved, like if there was an ubearable weight on his shoulders. Good compo and also a good B&W conversion with a well balanced adjustment of contrast.

Lovely image Guy, with the strong contrast, as well as the distinctive man with his hands cradling a cup. You tell us he is a beggar and surely his demeanor suggests his is a difficult life. He is perhaps one of the more recent arrivals in Israel, who has yet to find his way in his new home. The limited depth of field works very well, keeping our attention on the bent figure at the right. The darkened silhouette at the left is a curiosity that we don't understand. There is a story here that would be easy to create. But we'll simply observe the older man and appreciate the excellence of this capture. Fine work.
