Photographer's Note
Birdwatching center at the Hula valley, Galilee. Canon EOS 10D, ISO 200 Sigma 28-300. IMHO, this shot shows all spectrum of photography - from highly professional to hobby-shooting. And now tell me who enjoys most!

That is what I call 'having an eye for a situation. It was there and you took the opportunity to make a splendid snapshot. My sincerest congratulations. There is a triple contrast here:
man - woman
and twice big - small (or smaller).
I'll make this one a favourite.

The woman already enjoys it, while the man looks like he's preparing an enjoyable series of shots. What a beautiful snapshot, perfectly seen and framed. Each one is in the right place. Couldn't be a better shot to convey the joy of photography Well exposed, perfect background, great natural colors. A superb expressive shot, Maxim.

This is a superb picture it works on so many level that you could spent hours trying to sort them all out Just brilliantly seen and captured. One small nigle her hands seems to have dropped out of the DOF slightly touch of spot sharpening and maybe a spot of burntool at very low level and soft brush could possibly just firm it up a bit.

Yes, this is quite funny and you did really well to see and capture it. The difference between the two people really comes to the fore. A very remarkable and enjoyable photo! :-)

Great funny shot. Bird watching you say. That is why the lady is wearing her owl glasses as a camouflage (hope she is not family). These little Minolta DImage do take good pics but the guy with his huge lens will be able to count the feathers on the bird.

Lots of things can make us feel that the 2 characters of this couple are each on the opposite of the scale, from the gender, the attitude, the technique, and the looks.
While the pic is superbly composed, thanks to these incredible glasses and the perfect moment chosen for depressing the shutter -congrats for that, Max!-, what maybe I like best is that you can smile at different levels, there's I guess one for everyone here...
I'm really wondering what she's shooting here with her small camera, though she seems happy with the result, while the serious guy behind implemented the full 300/2.8, at least...
A great story telling shot, in the tradition of Elliott Erwitt or other street photographers who like to consider the fun in life..

Great shot that certainly captures what a lot of hobbyist photographers are thinking. When making a move from film to digital, is it another clunker (expensive) SLR or pocket digital.
As for the photo, it is great to see dynamics in the characters.

Very expressive and spontaneous shot!. It is a proof of the hobby of photography. You don't need to have a super power camera to enjoy it!. Great work.
