Photographer's Note
This is the same silkworm from my former post 'Stairway to heaven' , just now with a different background and in a different situation.
The horizon is not straight because it is not straight for real.
I used f/13.0 to get more DOF that the whole silkworm will be in focus, because in macro shots the DOF is very shallow.
Hope you will like it.

Quite striking result, Elroyie. The textural details and colors of the silkworm are very well rendered, and it's great how it is positioned on the branch. The "DOFed-out" background is perfect to enhance your presentation. Well done.

Wonderful macro shot Elroyie. I like the DOF usage that sets the focus so well. I would have changed the composition so that the branch and the silkworm are a little higher, thus letting you feel it's the edge... and it's about to fall, -or- a little to the left, so that it's a clear "end". Colors are wonderful. great shot!

Hi Elroyie, I think your silkworm is possibly a Oleander hawkmoth catterpillar, the other alernative would be a Pine Hawkmoth.
The picture is very well seen lots of action and spot on detail and colour.

This is for me a best macro shot I have ever seen before! Small animal is large enough so that ie exactly come in complete composition. And that piece wood plays also large role in scene. It`s really dramaticaly scenery! ; -) But... just & only for a little worm!
Well done again, Elroyie.

A very good idea, and excellent sharp macro capture. I also like your title. I wonder how he came back for this impossible position.

It's realy good, but I think when you cropped it more, the result was better, thats my opinion, whatever I sai, it's a good photo, and a nice piece of work.

I like the sharpness of the silkworm against the blurred background.

This is really good. I like the subject, i like the composition and I like the colors. I have nothing to complain about with my meager knowledge about photography.
