Photographer's Note
On the first of the picture you can see "rests" of the great temple in petra's site.
In 1921 an archeologist named Bachman published a survey of the city of Petra, which soon became a standard that was used by archeologists for several decades. On the south side hill of the Colonnade Street Bachman mapped out the ruins of a large building, complete with columns. He named it the Great Temple. And so, the building has always been known as the Great Temple, although more and more historians are wondering if this was actually a temple, or if it was the Nabataean seat of government.
On the last part of the picture, you can see royal Tombs, that nabateans diged in the moutain.
- Hey you little nabatean, you have nothing to do ?
- No
- ... then dig the moutain !

Heard many times of these rocky temples builded in mountains and also seen many times Indy III, so love this place and think that you captured it good, colours, sharpening and the angle are very good
The interesting think on it is that has been built during helenistic period...
btw: Veronika and I are from Bratislava, Ivanka is from Zilina :)

Hello Sebastien,
Excellent view into the ruins, a little bit overexposed, but otherwise a very good image with the crop and foreground stone remains of the pillars.

salut Sebastien

Hi Sebastien,
Nice shot of the main open space at Petra. It's a good imge with a wide perspective, which ;you don't often see, and one that incorporates two of the main features at Petra, the so-called tombs and the temple.
Just to add to the mystery of what the rock structures represent - some theorists think that they may also have been merchant dwellings and shops which sold, amongst other things, the very fine pottery that was scattered around the massive site. But who knows!
Anyway, well done.

Hi Sebastien!!
Perfeito.

Hi Sebastien - nive view of the ruins, I like the linear layers, the light must have been super harsh, perhaps darkening the whole image in photoshop might be better, though you may lose detail in shadows.

I like this shot, having been there too. In particular, using the columns in the foreground is pleasing as it gives perspective. I would be inclined to use the dodging tool to lighten slightly the tombs in the mountainside just to bring them out a little bit.
