Blue house blue girl, a photo from Izmir, Aegean

Yesterday I was in Izmir and Cesme, and after my assigment was over I drove all the way to Cesme where I spent the night. Actually Alacati, a small hamlet near Cesme famous for its wind and surf races, has become even more popular than Cesme, itself famous for its beaches and big hotels.
After sunset Alacati becomes lively with its many many restaurants, and I believe that it is a great place for pictures. This one was taken a little before the evening came, a quick shot of a passing girl I caught between the blue door and window. I decided to crop the upper part of the house, and use only the basement floor. This was already my intention when I took the picture.

This is very well-seen Izzet, nicely timed too, placing the woman between the door and the shutters.
I like the elegant simplicity of this shot, with nothing there that shouldn't be there.
Shame she wasn't wearing a red dress - I think with that colour contrast the shot would have been even more striking.
I remember I went to Cesme years ago ('99 I think) - a nice little place.
Good work.

pleasant bi-chromatic architecture.
It seems Alacati is a nice place to stay without big ugly hotels....this picture reminds me of Fo蓷 where I have just been...

Yesterday, i was in Alacati as well :)
I wish we could meet for a small TE meeting! Having wine with you in those marvellous Alacati cafes would be great! Here the color of the dress, exactly the same as the windows, is the key point.
You had very good eye.
But I also like those red shoes. They are important to make that little bit of contrast which makes the picture even more beautiful

Bonjour, Izzet. On dirait que la demoiselle s'est habill嶪 pour la photo. Le bleu de sa robe s'harmonise tr鋊 bien avec le bleu de la peinture utilis嶪 pour la maison. Elle est tr鋊 bien plac嶪 dans la composition entre la porte et la fen皻re, l� o� la surface de briques est la plus grande. C'est tr鋊 bien vu.
