Photographer's Note

Bursa Grand Mosque (known locally as Ulu Cami'i) has 20 domes, several of which can be seen here, plus 2 exterior minarets. It was built in the Seljuk style between 1396 and 1399 AD. This mosque has some of the greatest examples of Islamic calligraphy in the world, with just one example of many throughout the building in the bottom left corner. More information here:

I must have visited this mosque in my youth. We lived in Bandırma (about 1 1/2 hrs west of Bursa) when i was in elementary school and visited Bursa quite a few times. Best Iskender Kebap is from Bursa. 👍👍
