Photographer's Note

As we started walking toward Beşiktaş Pier, we passed by the Sultan's Gate of Dolmabah蔒 Palace. This frame is stitched from three photos, changing the effective focal length. The workshop includes a photo from a more conventional focal length.

When I visited this palace in 2007, I was able to take photos indoors. I even have some photos of the bathrooms on TE. But since then, Turkish palaces have followed the example of other European palaces and they do not allow indoor photography. I wish they had special tours where you could take photos, I would gladly pay extra for that.
