Photographer's Note
Yesterday was a fair day in Istanbul, So I had many chances to find another cloudless day. This is why I decided to wake up at 4.00 am, and take the chance. The Ortaköy Mosque on the Bosphorus stands next to the suspension Bridge, and the square around it is one of the most charming places of Istanbul. But at 5.30 am the place is frequented only by cats and dogs. The Mosque's lights stay until it becomes clear.
This morning I had clouds instead, but after all I think that the result is not disappointing. I used my big flash to show the boats. At 1/2 second they are not too sharp and show some motion.

Hi izzet.
The light is really good. I like the atmosphere.
But in geometry, i think there are too much things on the left and less on the right side. If you took this picture from your left, I would prefer. The perspective wouldn't be the same but boats would be on the right of your pic.
Anyway. you shot here nice colors and nice reflects on the water.

Hi Izzet
Congratulations for waking up at 4.00 a.m.!! But the result is splendid! Wonderful sight on the Moskee with detailed foreground (boats) and background (bridge).
All my compliments, and thanks for showing us: we can enjoy after a good sleep :-))

The colors in the photo are good. You have covered a lot of objects in a single photo - brightly lit mosque, boats, a well decorated bridge and a wonderful reflective of all these in the water.... Great shot. Keep it up

Merhaba,

Sarhan.

Excellent shot! The lighting in this is great, showing the mosque against the dark sky. The water and the bridge in the background give a a nice panorama to set the scene. Good idea to use the flash to light theforeground and show off the boats. Beautiful!

Great to see this very fresh photo, Izzet. And while I was still sleeping, you were already busy creating art. The mood with the illuminated mosque against the sky that makes way for the first light of day is lovely, and the composition is elegant with the inclusion of the small boats in the foreground and the bridge converging towards the back. Beautiful shot.

When it comes to travel photography, you are a master. you make the places you are portraiting so compelling, I want to go there now, see what you show me. This composition is very nice and the lights reflecting in the water are perfect, like a water color painting. great work, Izzet.

Klasik konularda, klasik mekanlarda yapılacaklar bitmiş gibi gelir bazı insanlara, oysa her zaman yaratılacak bir şey vardır, işte örneği. Yaratıcılık, deneycilik, sanatta bilimsellik dersem her halde abartılı olmaz. Elinize sağlık.

Izzet, entering your galery today I got stuck on this marvel displayed as a random shot. This image escaped my attention so far, although you didn't post it so long ago. A great composition with the boats in the foreground, the illuminated mosque in the middle and the bridge with that mysterious enhanced sky in the background makes it simoly a great photography. The colors being refelcted in the water add a huge portion of atmosphere to this already overly rich image. Funny that it didn't draw more attention so far.
Regards, Peter
