Photographer's Note

Oh - yes, the busy beaver is at it again. Yesterday I uploaded the photo of a feral cat in Istanbul and it was quickly taken down, this time without any email notice. Although the note clearly stated it was a feral cat, the trigger happy power hungry admin did not bother to read it and just deleted it.

Now that I have vented my anger, I can talk about this photo. This was taken from under the roof of Sultan Ahmet III Fountain. It shows the eastern side of Hagia Sophia Museum, now converted back to a mosque. This was stitched from 4 photos and then manual lens correction applied to get rid of the fish-eye effect and keystoning that the stitching introduced. One of the workshop photos is the uncorrected stitch-work and the other shows why I chose this spot to take this photo.
