It really gives the impression of being in the center of the fest
The eyes go from the main character at the FG to the one at right and then to the one at left playing drums, on a circle process, giving the feeling of action, music and dance

I agree with Patrick - an excellent shot that catapults us right into the heart of the feast...
I like the point of view from below, but what really impresses me is how the look in the man's eyes, away from you and maybe directed at some point away form him too, manage to convey a sense of longing, of melancholic mood.
the two players behind him are a perfect frame - blurred but not too much, so that we can see their expressions.

shallow DOF is something that i also have been playing with recently...
i find it really attractive when you build a story around it - distant yet still recognizable background and the foreground musician being a key person...

Hello Figen,
An excellent photo, so full of life and pleasure in the background and a fine portrait of a proud man in the foreground. A very good POV and fine light management makes this picture stand out among the ordinary contributions to TE.
