Photographer's Note

I had never seen one of these before but it's a great idea. It scoops up all the drifting wood and trash and spits out the live jellyfish back into the water. The arms are closed at the moment but open up like a claw machine to catch any paper cups, plastic bags, bottles and tins etc floating on the surface.

Hello Chris,
Heard about such a boat - never saw one on picture nor on real operation (we do not have bays or coves in Israel).
Wonderful blue and white colors against the green water in the foreground, far side shores of the Bosphorus.

I always like to see pictures of peculiar vehicles or machinery. And this is indeed quite special. And the purpose of cleaning the sea of trash is precious.

Hello Chris,
Even these will not help the sea snot they have induced in the Sea of Marmara. Let's hope they will wisen up and treat their sewage before they dump it in the middle of the sea.
