city in southwestern Turkey, capital of Antalya province, located on the Gulf of Antalya. The city is the largest urban area on Turkey𠏋 central Mediterranean coast. Tourists are attracted to Antalya𠏋 beaches and nearby ancient Greek ruins. In addition to tourism, light industry is important, as is agriculture炥articularly the growing of citrus fruits. The city𠏋 busy port has direct connections for trade with Crete (Kr癃i), Cyprus, and Egypt. Antalya𠏋 airport is the busiest on the Turkish Mediterranean, with direct flights to many European cities. Roads connect Antalya with nearby towns and with larger cities over the rugged Taurus Mountains to the north.
The Antalya region has been occupied since prehistoric times. The earliest artifacts, found in Karain Cave about 25 km (about 16 mi) away, date to 30,000 bc. Attalus II of Pergamum founded the city in the 2nd century bc and named it Attaleia after himself. It later became a Roman city and was visited by the Emperor Hadrian in ad 130. Antalya became part of the Byzantine Empire (330-1453), but was taken by the Seljuks in 1207. The city was a principal southern terminus on the Anatolian caravan trade route during the first half of the 13th century. Antalya was taken by the Ottoman Empire in 1391. Following World War I (1914-1918) the victorious Allies partitioned the Ottoman Empire and gave Antalya to Italy.

Beautiful composition of sea, mountains and clouds. I like the diverse degrees of blue.

Beautiful shot, with an amazing atmosphere. A really good one to make us think about life and humanity. Why can't we get along well? I just don't know and that's really a pitty.
The dramatic sky, the line of lights in the back and the mountains. I feel like a seagul flying in here.

Indeed an interesting and nice shot, but somewhat lack of sharpness. Anyway, the sky is fantastic and the colors are dark and nice. Interesting and very informative note too. Good job.

Hi Burak, A good timing for this picture. You have well captured the dramatic view of the dark clouds in contrast with the mountain and the city lights in the view. A nice monotone image.

aslinda siz boyle resimlere bir yan obje daha koyardiniz bu anlamda alistigimiz berek resimlerinin biraz disinda, coskuna hak veriyorum..berek buraya bir obje daha koymaliydi..

Its a pleasure viewing the pictures through your lens. One simple request.
Kindly shoot for me a similar picture with dark black clouds in the background and with white cranes in the contrast.
That kind of picture is a treasure for me.
How do you manage to capture the lights at such a far distant? Incredible.

Interesting climate here. This mistery darkness...

Unfortnatelly your phtoto is a little bit blurry. That was a hard situation..

But in my opinion photo is good.
