Photographer's Note

Istambul.
Here my first photograph from a man on work on T.E. I took this photograph in the large bazaar of Istambul at the time from a stay in Turkey. This butcher in the half half-light gotten me a strange faintness. Accustomed to the quite clean and asepticized rays butcheries our rich countries i had vis-a-vis with me another world. By this photo catch it y almost 20 years i wanted to translate the shock of this meeting.

Nice catch Hassan! I like lighting here, and composition.
Can you imagine such a butcher's somewhere in Western Europe? I can't...

Quant � la photo : Excellente prise de vue, tr鋊 belles couleurs.
Citation : "j'ai voulu traduire le choc de cette rencontre".

A cette 廧oque l�, j'avais 11 ans et je photographais avec un petit kodak tout plat.
Ici, la qualit� est irr廧rochable et montre tr鋊 bien le choc tu as ressenti... Bravo!

I find this image to be REALLY excellent. The composition is just superb with the light over your subject working double overtime here. The things hanging off to the right side also give a lot of context to this shot. If you've got more shots like this post them...this is just amazing. Well done!

Looks like a perfectly normal bucher's stall to me ;-) then again I've lived in Africa and China for a total of seven years; I know that the clean, orderly West isn't what is actually "normal" on this planet. A fine TE entry.

This is well composed and I like the bare light hanging over head.

The only thing I'd change would be to crop the bottom a litle; I understand wnating to include what appears to be his cutting board, but it is too bright and distracts a bit from the rest of the shot.
