Photographer's Note
Another shot from the blue mosque. here i tried a vertical framing. i sat down to shoot him at a low level.
i think this one is better than the previous shot in that there is more light and i could choose a larger DOF. also here there is nothing except a neat subject praying towards the light, i mean no extra objects.
see also the workshop for the original color version.
Tec: Uncropped, FL 50mm, ISO 400, no flash, handheld, converted to sepia tones in photoshop.

I'm really happy to see your photos regularly again on this site. Very good one also. Great composition and good choice of vertical framing to manage the light.

Beautiful shot!
B&W suits perfectly and the light and shadows are great.
The simple framing is very nice too.
Well done!

I agree with you that B&W version is better. Colors on the window distract the attention from the true subject. For me there is not enough light on the praying person. Maybe a step to the left would help. Alternatively just the silhuette might be visible but you would need some light or brighter background. Maybe it's worth to play with PS to find out.
Or overexposing the window to underping the title.
nice shot. well done

This one is really even better than previous pic.
Very simple yet effective. A lonely praying figure against big bright window.
The fact that one can see the right outline of this man's figure gives feeling of free space and air around. Exact exposure!
Perfect!

Very nice, Kourosh. I hadn't seen the first one when it was posted, but I agree that this one is more effective. The sepia tone is very effective (although maybe the figure could be just a bit brighter) and the simple composition works perfectly.

This shot is also excellent. Perfect composition. I love the light concentrated on the window. TFS
