Photographer's Note

When the Intercolonial railway of Canada bought the Quebec & Rivi鋨e-du-Loup line in 1879, the new owner replaced three railway station including this one located at Montmagny. The two others were built at Charny and Rivi鋨e-du-Loup. The architecture belongs to the second generation of railway station built on this line. The two major characteristics are: the bulls eye near the roof and the mansard roof.

Picture shows the west face of the railway station seen by an eastbound train toward Rivi鋨e-du-Loup, Halifax or Edmunston. On the wokrshop, I placed the east face of the station with a Canadian National railway freight train entering the station as a bonus.
