Photographer's Note
The five islands that composes the archipelago of the Pèlerins (PIlgrims) are protected areas which are impossible to visit.
Today, these islands belong to the Company Duvetnor, a non-profit-making corporation dedicated to the conservation of fauna and its habitats in the estuary of the Saint-Laurent. In order to collect funds to buy and thus protect forever these islands, this company launched out in harvest and the setting in market of the invaluable feathers of the duck eider duck for the manufacture of the eiderdown. Harvest is carried out towards the beginning of June. One finds some 10 000 nests on the islands.
Since 1984, the Duvetnor Company bought the various islands to safeguard the habitat of the many marine birds which nest there (cormorants, eider ducks, bihoreaux, kittiwakes, guillemots, seagulls, small penguins, etc), like that of the common seals and the gray seals. This image is made up of five photographs combined using photomatix. A light adjustment of the colors was done so that those looks like the original.

Bonjour Vincent,
What a heartening note accompanies this beautiful landscape; I especially like the reflection. Looks like you did a good job of providing photomatrix with aligned photos. I haven't found a program that works for my admittedly loose style. I see you used a tripod, I expect that's the key to success. SAJ, Pat
