hi vergile

as someone who lives in a country that doesn't have this kind of phenomenon, it's very interesting to me. i like the colours and hope they are like that in real life. the igloo is a nice touch too. a composition that i like more and more when i look at it.

Oh, Virgile, this is beautiful!! It looks like a picture from space or a Sci-Fi movie. The light is what just amazes me. Not only the colored Northern lights, but the light from the igloo, also. It looks like the color has just flown out of it or is about to hit it with a blast. What a marvelous picture!! Kind regards,

Wow, that is spectacular. The GRAND light in the sky and the intimate, warm light in the igloo and the sky itself with the igloo made by human hands is a gorgeous metaphor of man and spirit. This is lovely. Well exposed too. I notice some noise in the northern lights that look more like JPG artifacts rather than camera noise. You might reprocess with less compression and see if that goes away. This pic is worth being as good as possible.

Great shot! The colour and smooth flowing lines of the aurora would be a pure joy by themselves, but when you add in the igloo with the light inside this is a real masterpiece! I especially like the way the light inside the igloo gives it a glow. Superb!

You've just risen to the top of my list of great Northern lights photos; the clors are wonderful against the stars and that lighted igloo puts it WAY over the top. Absolutely fantastic shot Virgile!

Lovely colours and tones of this Northern lights in Northwest Territories. I like warm light from igloo and of course the colored Northern lights is fantastic.I enjoy it a lot and thanks for sharing!

You are so lucky, Virgile. I guess I've told you this before. What's more, you managed to shoot a difficult photo as there are different lights - the one coming out of the igloo and the auroras. The result is clear details, soft colours and no noise despite highish ISO.

Great shot of northern lights.
Best in these pages I have seen.

I first noticed this photo when I began my TrekEarth journey--before I even posted any photos, and was just a mere observer. I came across it again in the favourites gallery, and I have to say that it is a favourite of mine as well. You have captured something so special here--the northern lights in all of their colourful glory look like a paint smear across the northern sky full of stars. The igloo adds yet another powerful element to the shot, and I especially like its' illuminated glow. Excellent shot all around.
