Photographer's Note

One of many good things with travelling are the interesting people you meet. One guy i met in Hastings street/Downtown eastside was a heavy drug addicted person who told my a story when he was just a kid and travelled with his Papa to Las Vegas and had a lot of adventures there. I had to go after a while but i dedicate this picture to him.(and his stories)

Sometimes you just stumble on coincidencies, like seeing this man on paternal leave just passing this sign. A few seconds later and the whole picture concept would have been gone! A very good photo, well cropped and presented!

Hej Boa,
I appreciate this "clean" composition. I don't know what you erased but certainly the result is very good. The letters on the wall have a strong graphic effect which continues through the dark figures and the lines of the street and pavement. Thanks to your PP nothing disturbs the balance and harmony of the composition.

You're a brave brave man to have walked and met up with the people of the downtown east side!
last time i was there with my camera i got chased and followed for 3 blocks, and had my camera kicked out of my hands while taking a shot!!
looking at this scene, i don't know where it is. but i like the man you captured - his black clothes contrast so well against the white, and the timing to hit the shutter is perfect as he is right in the open space of the "P".
interesting take!
