Lighthouse Park

Lighthouse Park is about a 25 minute drive from downtown Vancouver. Most people get here by car, public bus service is available. What makes it unique is it is 185 acres of old growth forest -- the last of its kind in the Vancouver area. In addition to the impressive and nearly ancient Douglas firs, western hemlocks and red cedars are the stunning views of the shoreline, Vancouver and Vancouver Island. A great place to admire (or jump over) the sunset!

i was surprised to see this, I was wondering if you were recently here in Vancouver but I saw you took this back in 2009.

This is a place I've been to a few times and its understandable why. its popular with tourists and locals, a sweet place indeed. lovely purple and pink tones, love the rocks and cruising sailboat gives a calming effect. cheers

What a beautiful view of the calm seas near Vancouver. The purple sky is wonderful and you included the large rocks very well in the foreground too, adding also a nice colour contrast. The sailboat is the finishing touch for the composition.

Hello Danos, Wonderful place and I wonder if Craig has ever shown it (he prefers sky scrapers :)). Beautiful composition with the boat on the sea and this big boulder on the shore. But first of all the colours are fabulous. Superb seascape.
