Photographer's Note

Coming back from Nanaimo on the Queen of Oak Bay ferry. This photo I took as the ferry pulls into Horseshoe Bay. I had to use a fast shutter speed of 1/1000 with the ferry moving and the fact that this is taken hand held from inside a car on the car deck.

For the sake of having some fun on this site Daniel Walsh has sent me a comment that I posted my photo in direct competition with his.. Both photos were taken from the BC ferry. Daniel's is taken with a 170-500 zoom while mine is limited to the 70-200. So now the choice it up to you. Which photo do you think is better. This is not about points for photo.. but if you could either let Dan or myself know in your comments which one you like better let us know.. thanks.

This photo came together by waiting for the right moment to balance the sailboat with the background.
The mountain that stands out above it all is Mt Baker which is just across the border in Washington USA.

One of those rare moments when it all comes together...I hope you like it...better than Dan's posting!! Cheers Dan...
