Photographer's Note
Another shot from the top of Whistler mountain as one of the Peak to Peak Gondolas departs for Blackcomb mountain.
The Peak 2 Peak Gondola is a new addition to Whistler/ Blackcomb and opened only days before. Although it is not the first lift of it's kind to span mountain to mountain- it does hold a few world records.
- Highest Vertical Point - 436m/1,427ft. above Fitzsimmon's Creek.
- Longest Unsupported Span - 3.024km/1.88 miles between the towers furthest apart.
- Longest Continuous Lift System - Whistler Village Gondola (4,999m/16,401ft.); across to Blackcomb Mountain on PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola (4,406m/14,457 feet); Solar Coaster Express chairlift (1921m/6302ft.); Wizard Express chairlift (2232m/7323ft.).
I hope you like the shot,
- Dan

Hey Dan,
Aren`t you missing something here?:)
A photo without a sky?? You woke up late that day, I guess:)
I like the composition and the subject and the fact that it is B&W but I really think there should have been a sky there…
Cheers:)

I courteously disagree with Nelu; I think the white sky is perfectly fitting for the snowy scenery. The lack of definition in the sky could be easily explained by cloud cover ripe with more of the white fluffy...
Great shot—esp. considering the fact that you were skiing. I like how the BG is a shade lighter than the foreground.
