Photographer's Note
This is the aptly named Lake Lovely Water in the Tantalus Range near Squamish. It is about 1000 metres above the Squamish valley, nestled between Mounts Alpha and Omega. You can get there by crossing the Squamish River by canoe and then walking up a steep track to the lake, or you can be sensible and go by float plane like we did. The plane landed on the lake and docked at this little beach. Mount Pindareus forms the background.
Scanned from a slide. Polariser used. The best view was toward the sun, which made it difficult to get good results. The clouds were still hanging around the peaks, but in this part of the world you don't get many sunny days in the mountains. I used an unsharp mask to brighten some of the darker parts and decrease the brightness of the clouds.

Wow, what a wonderful wilderness! Gorgeous light; even though you couldn't use the cpl to it's fullest I like the outcome a lot.
