Photographer's Note

Well it seems like ages since my last posting, and although I had intentions on running a long series of shots from London- I find myself yearning to post some Canada shots.
Maybe it has something to do with the fact I've recently booked my vacation home for August. I made my first 'proper' trip to the Rockies last summer with my family, and look forward to revisiting this summer...
This shot was taken at 170mm focal lens on my Sigma 170-500mm, at ISO 50, F14, 1/100 mounted on a monopod.
I like the detail and shadow play in the rock and the contrast of the foreground bare rock against that of snow-covered background rock.
I cropped to make the most out of the natural diagonal composition.

I uploaded this shot and then pondered whether it would look better in color or B&W. I can't decide- so I posted the B&W version in a workshop for you to decide...
