Photographer's Note

After our morning in Bonaventure Island we hit the road to go to Matane Wildlife Reserve. A few hours road through almost desert road in the interior of Gaspesian Peninsula and them the route 195 along Matane's river were we could enjoy nice covered bridges and little farm houses on the way. Due to the rain, few days before, the seaside road was blocked and we could not pass by the Forrillon Park and Gaspe which are very turistic sites in the region.

We arrived in the park around 6pm at the park information desk Jonh wich is about 40km from Matane's city. This reserve is the only one in Quebec to offer observation of Caribour activities, besides the hunt permit offered by all the other ones. These animal are the biggest attraction in the wildlife reserve as this is the place which concentrates the highest population of Caribour in Quebec.
On the WS you can see our chalet. Peace and complete silence is what you'll find there. The chalets are very far from each other and more them 10km from the main entrance desk, so you can feel very much alone in the nature. All the basics are provide, no eletricity though!
