Photographer's Note
Votive pyramid in La Quemada. This is the best known structure of this archeological site. Originally it was covered on all four sides by a mansory cover wall, parts of which can still be seen around the upper section of the pyramid. The southern face contained a stairway that ascended to the top of the structure, where a small temple or altar probably existed.
Archeologists believe that the place was built by the Aztecs durin their migration from the north to the valley of Mexico.
The pyramid measures 10 meters in height.

Bonjour, cher Pedro,

Hola Pedro,
A magnificent photo taken from yet another high point near the ancient pyramid, full view of the edifice with excellent clear details.
Amazing to think how the Aztecs built this with no modern machinery.
Buen fin de semana,
Ike

Hello Pedro,
Superb capture of this ancient pyramid. The glorious blue sky makes a beautiful contrast with the warm tinted stonework. Top class technical quality.

Hello Pedro,
I find it so interesting that ancient people in African and South America chose this shape for their important constructions!
You have photographed the pyramid with excellent clarity and a fine dof.
I believe that, if I was inclined to do so, I could count every stone that was used in this aspect of the pyramid!
The colours are equally impressive.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Bonjour Pedro,

Belo trabalho, amigo.
Parabéns e Abraço,

Hello Pedro,
It's the first time I hear of this pyramid built in the north of Mexico.
Nicely presented with a glimpse of the river or the lake a bit further.
Very good sharpness.
The stone colour contrasts well with the blue sky.
Best regards, Paul

Hola Pedro,
I would love to see all the Meso-American pyramids one day. I saw all the main Egyptian pyramids in 2016. Wonderful warm cold color contrasts between the blue sky and the red bricks. Tfs!

Ola Pedro,
