Photographer's Note

This shot has been taken at the courtyard of the Palau de la Virreina in Barcelona. The building is one of the great examples of Baroque architecture in Catalonia designed by architect Carles Grau. I was impressed by the fantastic architecture and huge prints I was able to admire there.

mi piace molto questa tua ripresa per il bel soggetto e per come l'hai ripresoin una atmosfera colorata di una tinta uniforme e per le belle liunee curve che evidenziano il soggetto.
Hai avuto un buon colpo d'occhio nel vedere ed isolare questo soggetto, per il quale ti faccio i miei complimenti.

love the aspect of this shot and the enigmatic elements that pepper the iconic sweeping lines of the architecture. It has a wonderful atmosphere about it, being perfectly clear and beautifully rendered. Fascinating and original imagery!

Beautiful positioning of the arches and the light is very special too.
I like how the eye in the poster to the left appears to be looking at the stressed woman in the larger picture, nicely seen.

This is really good, with a very specil light and colour bathing the scene, it is almost a sepia mode...great!!

Hello Gosia - The curving arches are strong compositional elements in this shot and I love the way you have composed the image so precisely. Beautifully managed light with the contrast between the well lit and shaded areas of the shot adding to the strength of the composition too. The large poster adds a modern element to the traditional architecture and the small figure adds a little quirky detail which I like a lot. Super. Warm regards Rosemary

Zdjęcie jest bardzo dobrze skomponowane i pokazuje ciekawą architekturę, fotograf się spisał na medal,ale szczerze m闚iąc denerwują mnie takie banery w takich pięknych i zabytkowych miejscach, ale to już nie Twoja bajka

we don't usually see solitay people in your gallery like in this photo, but it works well here.
lots of charming arches - they always seem to fit the scene well - and having that small purple-blue color of the shirt seems to work well too.

Czesc Gosia,
podoba mi sie bardzo sposob w jaki skadrowalas ta scene.To sklepienie lukowe i to jak go uzylas w tej kompozycji jest super i tworzy naprawde swietny efekt wizualny.Sam billboard jak widze po opiniach wzbudza mieszane uczucia.Mnie akurat sie podoba i nie uwazam zeby w jakis szczegolny sposob szpecil architekture.

Hello Gosia,
I love this composition and the way you've used the lines and perspectives of the architecture to structure an almost theatrical setting around the lonely man. There is elegant dynamism and harmony in the lines while the b&w portraits introduce an undercurrent and fascinating sense of drama. Your management of light and shadows is excellent and the contrast between soft warm tones and monochrome is unsusual and attractive. Congratulations and thank you!

This is a vvery nice shot. you managed well the difficult light. I like the POV and the curve of the arch gives good depth the image on the wall provide storng graphic and the man resting has a calm feeling in contrary to the woman on the poster of a movie.

This super shot fits into both architectural and street photography categories. The sitting man is perfectly juxtaposed to the woman in the poster. His blue shirt contrasts with the brown/orange tones. Beautifully managed light.

Great image this with that great curved arch leading down to draw you eye into the shot. Then the woman framed by the smaller arch and finally the person sitting to finish it all off. Wonderful composition and well observed.
