Photographer's Note

This is the same tree as in the After the Storm picture. Here, the object was to photograph nesting Mawari Storks, Neotropical Cormorants and various types of Egrets.

I often visit the same area to photograph the same object with the change of seasons. This enables me to document a wilderness area story in all its glory. As naturalist the poetry of change and its effect on survival really amazes me.

Become intimate with an object or area and you will push your creativity and photographing skills to their limits.

Absolutely stunning nature shot and landscape. Those clouds are a great backdrop for the storks you were photographing.

Another striking shot! I love this.
The dramatic clouds, and their reflection make a beautful backdrop for the sole tree. The flocking birds add movement and the stationary birds in the tree seem to pop out at me the more I gaze into the photo.

Great shot. Wonderful light. The birds were well postionned all around the upper part of the picture.

...the only think I don't like too much is the big copyright but with such a stuning picture quality you probably have good reasons for protecting somehow your artwork.

Lord, what colours! It's not just the richness of the colours, tho, it's the way the white birds stand out against the dark blue sky, as if the cloud were somehow dissolving into birds.

I'm interested in your tilted horizon - I don't think straight horizons should be a fetich, and the tilt here adds to the picture for me, giving me the impression that I'm in a boat, moving from right to left.

Wonderful and peaceful. The motive is great, so the technique... Nothing more to say.
I agree with you in the note about finfing an interesting place and work with that!
I boost my creativity with slide film and primelenses. Limits me and force me to do a good job at the moment of exposure...

There should be a special 10 points smiley option for photos like this. Magnificent. I like the colors, I like the cloud, I like the nest and the birds, I like the narrow stripe of land dividing the sky and the reflection, really - I like everything. Excellent work. And thanks for a good note as well.
The only thing I can come up with in terms of critique is that you should use as much of the 200KB file limit as possible (Right now its only about 56 KB) And that makes the sky blocky and filled with digital artifacts.

What a good shot. Good composition you have....I like the interesting clouds...together with the trees positioned at 1/4 then effective reflection and of course a lifely flying birds. It makes the whole catch a perfect match....The combination it's just happened in the same time....it's so good.

que buena foto!!! me encantan esas nubes!!! aparte las gaviotas (son gavoitas??) quedan muy lindas y sobresalen de ese cielo axul espectacular! ese arbol en el medio del agua queda muy bueno, la foto esta muy linda! y ese verde en el horizonte le da todo un corte al agua y al cielo muy interesantes, me encanto!

You are absolutely right!
The photo could be a painting!

The frame is a wonderful and vibrant with beautiful colours and sharpness!
The nests on trees and birds in the air contrast in the background and enhance the effect of the composition.
