Photographer's Note

The Waiau Ferry Bridge is situated just south of Hanmer Springs in New Zealand's South Island. It was opened in 1887 and has a central wrought iron truss with a double cantilever on each side and is supported on massive concrete piers. It is 32 metres high.

Like many destinations in New Zealand the bridge is an adventure centre location - you can bungy jump, take a jet boat ride or embark on a rafting trip.
