Hi Kristaps,
Wow lucky you are to have come that close, normally vicunas are very shy and won't let you approach, excellent framing but this was not @18mm, was it ?
Have a nice day JY

Kristaps,
This is a well composed shot placing the Llama to one side while showing the mountains in from of him. This composition gives the shot a nice sense of direction. The lighting and colors are great with nice sharpness and detail.

I really like the difused light that seems to be coming from all directions at once, and pastel colours in the background, it almost looks like a studio photo, lol :) vicuña is definitely posing, although I suspect it is posing for me...
best,

Very beautiful capture of the vicuna perched at the crest of the hill. The 1/2000 second represents serious shutter speed, a property that the Nikon D300 offers. I don't think that the D200 can achieve that.

Hi Kristaps
What an interesting encouter you had! The photo is well balanced. Soft colours and good deep of field. The landscape in the foreground is stunning as well as the lama. Good capture. Well done!
Best regards
Denis!

Hello Kristaps,
A beautiful view because the animal is presented here sharp and clear against the more blurry but still well visible background of its natural environment.

A pleasant composition, that really fix my attention on the lama!
Seems like this guy is the King of the Mountains and knows it...

Kristaps, great one, are these animals pretty domesticated? Anyway the color and detail and composition are superb and the quizzical expression on the Llama is priceless, great work.

Hi Kristaps,
this alpagas sure look like he/she does have an expression of carosoty and an attitide. But the wait it stand and its long neck is really elegant, than its near cousins of llamas. The background really give the essence of the surrounding and environment. Good one. I enjoyed it.

Hi Kristaps!
After the goat, the vicuna! Ha Ha! You want every animal to fly?! A lovely composition once again, with the haughty and lonely fellow, looking at the view with deep concern (probably because he has seen the goat flying and wonder if it is an hallucination or not?). A beautiful light.

Dag Kristaps,
This llama-like animal seems to be proud of the region and landscape where he/she lives.
His/her expression radiates proud, almost haughty.
Excellent POV and DOF

Hi Kristaps,
Excellent compo with the well-lighted animal against the perfect sky and layers of mountains. I thought he was a Llama until I read JY's note.
How nice this cutie is to pose so perfectly for you. Guess he likes a good view as well as any of us.

Hi Kristaps,
so you had breath enough at 3,500m. I feel that I need to practice some soccer before trying that :)) Lovely shot, I think I've told you before that I like those animals. He looks the owner of the area, love his pose. You did a great job with your tele not to be noticed by him...or maybe he's used with the patient photographers :)) Great job!

Carlos

Emilius
