Yangshuo Bridge, a photo from Guangxi, South

Photographer's Note

The Yangshuo Bridge across the Li River is lit up at night around 'blue' hour. The attractive karst limestone peaks surrounding the town always look good in any almost any kind of weather. There are a few caves amongst them too although I had no time to explore them.

The landscape is truly spectacular in this area of China, and I am delighted that you are there to share it with us. The bridge is bit garish in its neon lights, but different strokes for different folks... I imagine these formations of of limestone.

the landscape is splendid and incredible, I have truly to go there soon,even if I would like to see less boats, that means there is too much tourists.The bridge is stange with its colorful lights,but this is beautiful in the misty atmosphere.

Good Morning Chris,

You give us such an interesting tour of China and I, for one, am able to appreciate the cultural and architectural differences in the exciting country.

The clarity of the f/g with the gradual misting towards the b/g produces a great sense of depth to the shot. The garish bridge makes a good dividing line, whilst the reflections of both the bridge and the mountains link together the different areas of the shot.

Hello Chris,

A very beautiful bridge with those colored neon lights. The Karst limestone peaks surrounding the town give a mystic atmosphere. I see lots of colors and their reflections making this a very beautiful image.

Hi Chris,

The reflections on the water are assets to the composition. The point of view is sending my eye toward the bridge the toward the mountains which is giving depth to the composition. It is also showing the details and colors of the boats and of the bridge. The hazy sky is giving a good contrast to the colors. Have a nice day.

Hello Chris,
A stunning landscape in an well-balanced picture with an excellent DOF.
The colourful lights of the bridge are an eye catcher. In my personal opinion the applied lighting is too artificial taking into account the overwhelming beauty of nature.

Love the mist that covers this majestic mountains, the elements in the FG is a bonus. The colorful bridge is a nice contrast, a sign that even this province is already reached by modern lighting. Great capture!

I like that bridge with traces of colors in this fine setting against the popping rocks. Thew river is calm and I'm sure exploring those caves can be really interesting.

An amazing view over the landscape and the modern bridge in the rainbow coloers, Chris.
