Photographer's Note

Round Barns are found in in several places in the United States including the midwest. This barn is one of a pair I shot several years ago in B&W, not very far from my home. It was a cloudy day with fairly diffused light and somewhat low visibility - not an ideal photography day.

Unfortuantely, in recent years this particular barn's roof and walls have collapsed and is falling into general disrepair. The current Google Map satellite view still shows the barns in fairly good shape, but the Google street-level view shows its current condition.

See an earlier image I made in August of 2000 on my Trek Lens page (brech), post-processed as an old tintype sepia tone photograph.
