Photographer's Note
Sleeping Bear Dunes, in western Michigan is a huge sand box. This here was taken from the "Dune Climb" area of the park. Here, visitors can trek the 3.5 miles round trip through the sand to Lake Michigan and back. It's quite a streneous trail, heading up and down across the many dunes along the way. For those looking for a more "leasurly" afternoon, you can climb the front side (and slide down).
I saw this grandfather/grandson duo hiking up the trail. Thought they made a nice addition to the scenery.
In the distance is the D.H. Day Farm, a 400-acre lot which he called "Oswegatchi" after the town in New York from where his father was from. Day was apparently proficient in many things including lumbering, shipping, forestry, conservation, road-building, tourism, and growing and canning of cherries. For an intersting history on this individual, please see http://www.nps.gov/slbe/historyculture/dkhday.htm.

Nice diagonals here Amber, and the moment at which you caught both of the duo was perfection, midpose, grandad plodding with head down and grandson snapping at his heels. I like how the building glows, and it is perfectly placed. Maybe i would have cropped a bit off the bottom...?

Hi Amber
Giant steps for man and many small steps for his son !!
Quite touching!
Pleasing oblique lines all over in this pastoral scene.
Take care.

Very nice compo, with all those lines. It's amazing how you enhance so well the walkers and the bigger house.
The colors and sharpness aren't too good... I guess that the light didn't help you.
