Photographer's Note

The three people referred to in the title are two resting visitors, and the bust of Mr. Thomas Hastings. Hastings was part of the famed Beaux-Arts architecture firm Carrere and Hastings, which was located in NYC in the early 20th century. They built many iconic structures both in the US and overseas, including the main branch of the New York Public Library which opened in 1911.

Located at Fifth Avenue and 42nd Street, the exterior is well-known, especially for its famous lions, but the interior is also a hidden gem, filled with lovely architecture and artwork. The marble lobby and Rose Reading Room are especially beautiful.

Mr. Hastings has a nice spot, where he can relax, and watch the activity in his magnificent creation. :-)
