Photographer's Note

A few feet away from Federal Hall, which was featured in my previous photo, is the well-known statue called Fearless Girl. While taking some photos, another fearless girl approached, a cutie in red who really wanted to make friends with the bronze young lady.

Fearless Girl is the work of American artist Kristen Visbal, and it was was installed on March 7, 2017, to promote female empowerment. The statue is approximately 50 inches (130cm) tall, and now stands in front of the NY Stock Exchange on Broad Street.

Fearless Girl was first installed on Broadway facing another famous statue, Charging Bull, but there were complaints from that statue's sculptor. As a result, the bronze young lady was removed in November 2018 and relocated to her current location.

In the WS is a front view of the statue, and another view with the cutie in red. :-)
