Photographer's Note
A great white heron that was either visiting other birds or recovering from an injury was standing on a roof. Bright white bird plus a polarizing filter turns the sky almost black.
The Florida Keys Wild Bird Center's motto is "Rescue, Rehab, Release".
I apologize for the copy and paste but it's for a worthy cause:
MISSION STATEMENT
The Florida Keys Wild Bird Center’s mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and release native and migratory wild birds that have been harmed or displaced, to provide or locate a humane shelter for those birds that cannot be released, and to educate the public toward the importance of coexistence with all wild bird species.
According to the TE statistics of my account this is my 500th USA photo submitted.

Hi Gregory
perfect sharpness, amazing contrast, snaky shape of the bird, live eye and a super bokeh to give a stunning nature picture (but not appreciated by the TE landscapes and churches photographers! - almost 100 visits and only one comment)
Cheers
