Photographer's Note

Between the trees in the bottom half of the photo and the train in the upper is a corn maze. Corn mazes are a common sight in the fall throughout the country, wherever the crop is grown. They are small-time tourist attractions and generate a few extra dollars to the farmer who creates one. A maze is created out of the corn field, and in similar fashion to the hedge mazes of Europe and elsewhere, people enter and try to find their way out.

This was taken atop Lookout Mountain on the Tennessee/Georgia border near the peak of the fall colors. Cropped, colors saturated, and sharpened.
