Photographer's Note
Every day I read with further alarm about the bees dying off; butterflies, dragonflies, bats... So in the summer it's always a great thing for me to see bees. Not only happy they are there, but good practice for macro shots. They are fast and the light is sometimes tricky. I was happy with this, though...

Hello Shelly
I can see in detail both, the bee as the flowers, against this green and blurred background. Great macro.

nice macro shot. Like the composition with this bee and those flowers. Excellent presentation with nice sharpness of the subjects and you got a nice bokehed background. Good colours also. Really enjoyable. Tfs.

Hello Shelly,
Very good macro of that bee!
Not only light, but also controlling focus is tricky.
I know that one really needs to be patient for this kind of photo (a virtue I do not always have!), so my double appreciation!
The colors look great.
Kind regards,
Carlos

Hi Shelly,
Such a fine macro shot and love all the detail of this bee busy at work on this very unique flower. The deep dark green background makes wonderful background to enhance the golden brown of the bee and the ivory white of the flower petals. I certainly hope they are not gone and from my garden they still very lively. The love my climbing roses and sunflower, and they are busy on the ice plant that bloom each spring. I almost have to be careful not to get stunk. They so many. So do not be alarmed, they'll bees around. Bzzzzzzzz.

Bonjour Shelly
Bonne netteté sur cette abeille qui se détache bien de l'arrière plan vert noyé dans le flou.
Bonne journée

This is an enviably sharp image for a macro shot, Shelly. I have struggled with this challenge and never quite nailed it as you have here. See my "Spring at Close Range," and know that I have much to learn!
And know that I share a deep concern for the future of bees, and the crucial role they play in our FOOD supply!
Best regards,

Hello Shelly,
Very nice macro picture. I find it interesting that only one of this bee's eye seems to be open. I shot a similar picture recently where similarly only one of the hornet's eye seems to be open.
Best regards,
Barnabas
