Photographer's Note

Does anyone have any suggesting, tips, tricks on taking sunset shots short of using a filter?
Does anyone have any comments, ideas, suggestions on how to post-process a sunset shot in PS?

I took this shot and several others when on the first evening of my trip to SD. Unfortunately, the clouds were starting to roll in and I couldn't get a shot of the sun dropping past the horizon! All the shots turned out quite differently, which was pretty cool.

Unfortunately, I didn't know that the ISO was set to 1600, therefore all the noise. (I thought the camera default was "Auto".)

Anyway, in Photoshop when I convert from RAW -> JPG
I set the WB to Temperatrure = 3800, Tint = +40; the Exposure = +0.7.
Slight decreasing of shadow/highlights; sharpened the image.
