Photographer's Note

Another big wave with birds and blue sea. this is a little after the peak of the splash. While the birds seem innured to this sort of thing it's really very pretty to watch.

Hi Tom.

I was sitting in a graduate music course once when one of the students stated this old joke about the composer Vivaldi .. "He wrote the same concerto 500 times" .. and without missing a beat the instructor while writing something unrelated on the board said .. "Yeah, but is was a damn good concerto"

All of these images are so wonderful and well worth it. Somehow the centered composition of this really adds to the effect .. really wonderful palette of blues as well .. and the crisp sharpness of it is just striking,

I've often sought to catch the crash of waves on the rocks, but never achieved anything as powerful as this. The catch of the motion is very good, while the birds add life. TFS

Wow! Now this is one after my own heart and really captures the power of the scene. The frozen spray is superb. Do I see a few spots of sensor dust creeping into the sky? I have such a problem with this but I'm not quite experienced enough to clean my own sensor.

Spectacular deepness of blue water is what stopped me to comment the picture. The colour is perfect for the scene which looks as if birds were fighting the nature! Excelent capture! How many tries did it cost?

To be this a critique, I would have probably removed a bird on the far left, looks like a distracting dot more than a bird. Does not add up to the scene.

It's not easy to select one of your shots. There are many very beautiful. This one is very suggestive, the force of the water, the mix of colours, the very intense blue in the waters. It's a great shot made of light, colors and force (the force of the life, the force of the nature). Congratulations.

What a crisp and vibrant capture! I am there when I look at it. It has a surreal feeling and you've used the fast shutter and crisp light to your benefit to create an immediate experience. I'm curious about how you got such contrast. It's almost artificial looking. Loved the capture. Thanks for sharing.
