Photographer's Note

I went to southern California and was capitvated by the catholic missions, I managed to photograph a few of them. Really old buidings, I spotted this doorway and the texture of the brickwork and door was just great. This was taken in the afternoon, may have got more texture early morning, but was quick a way from my base.

Seems like a very hot day. I like the shadows of the cactus on the old wall. I would also love to see the color version if there is one.

I love the feeling this photo has, and am surprised it doesn't have more points! The clarity can't be beat, and by removing the top of the building is looks more original than some other photos I have seen of the area.
