Photographer's Note

This is a photo of the White River coming down from White River Glacier on Mount Hood. We like to stop here as it's a good break spot between home and my oldest daughter's home in central Oregon.

The White River headwaters are high up on the southeast side of Mt. Hood, and flow south from beneath Mt. Hood's White River Glacier, one of the smaller glaciers on the mountain.

Next time we come I'll have to don the hiking boots and travel farther up this river for better view. I was here in my flip flops kicking the sandy glacier soil from under my toes. Not a lot of fun, but I did get this nice shot.

I didn't notice the noise until after I posted it....I'll used the digital camera noise removal tool for this newer version without so much noise. Let me know which you like better.
