Photographer's Note

The views are still stunning on the trail to Chinidere Mountain from Wahtum Lake in the Mount Hood Forest, although the leaves have changed colors and the air was certainly "crisp". My 2 daughters and my sister and I hiked up to the top of Chinidere Mountain, it was VERY windy at the top and hard to get good photos. Just standing upright was difficult and most of the photos I took were not as in focus as I would have liked.

The last time up this trail was in summer, the autumn weather changed the look of everything. I snapped this photo on the return trip down the road of Mount Hood with Autumn leaves framing the view.

Mount Hood is the tallest mountain in Oregon (11,237 feet, 3,426 m) and popular with skiers, snowboarders, hikers, and climbers.
