Photographer's Note
This old truck which appears to be from either the late 1940s or early 50s is a REO (company name). The REO truck company has been out of business for many, many years. The style and "personality" of these old vehicles is unmatched by anything modern you will find today. I occasionally go through the old wrecking yards and particularly enjoy the ones such as this with old vintage vehicles. I did a workshop of the photo in B&W. Let me know which you prefer. An alternate view of this truck is on my Treklens site:
God's best,
Tim

Tim,
I asked my husband to take a look without the benefit of your note. He knew instantly what kind of truck this was, we won't tell him where it is now will we?? I have enough of these "treasures" in my backyard already.
A lovely view, clear, sharp, great color. Really is too bad so many of these "classic" cars end up like this.
Excellent, your photo made me smile!

Hi Tim. Long time no see, as far as TE is concerned, hope you and family had a good start into the New Year. Nice tight framing of this old truck that surely has seen better days, but as you see the old glory and dignity definitely still shines through on this one. The b&w version is lovely as well, but I'd lean towards the color (you know me).

The same subject but I prefer this Tim. While B/W is playing with perception, colors dictate closer to reality. We don't have anything lasting this long, in Sabah. Maybe that's the reason REO didn't last as long as its trucks. Good lasting truck isn't exactly "profitable".
But just watch yourself while traipsing in the yard Tim. Wouldn't want you to get cut from anything coming out from this behemoth.
As for Darwin, I'm not with him either. I prefer my grandest grandpa to be Adam. He is better looking. Then again, that's what God said. We all come from Adam & Eve. Don't want to believe it, any other way.
Take care Tim. Don't go worry so much about Phil.

Lots of history in this fine image - I can remember trucks which looked very much like this - Perhaps can I find one on the mobile museum on Egeskov - thanks Tim - the B&W works very great as well.

Nice shot Tim;
Nostalgic relics such as this make for great subjects, no doubt. I was actually going to suggest this one in B&W, until I noticed your comment and workshop. Great job...
The one thing that's nice with switching over to black and white is that it gives you the ability to bump up the contrast a bit.
I'll try a workshop (when I get home from work in about 12 hrs), to give a couple suggestions.
Cheers Tim!

The colour version is better. A selective desaturation may create an interesting effect if you were prepared to play around with this further.
Interesing image. You succeed in presenting a photograph in mostly RGB colours. Good job Tim.
