Photographer's Note
High in Olympic National Park, Washington State. This is off on a side trail between Obstruction Point and Grand Valley - the dry side of the mountains. Looking east at The Needles in the distance. The National Park is hundreds of square miles of untouched mountains and old-growth forested valleys. The diverse landscape extends from the wet rain forests of the Pacific coast to almost Puget Sound. Not many roads but lots of trails. A back-packing paradise.
