The bowl filled with money tells you this little blue girl is not injured or dead, but just, after a long performance with her hoop, pretending to be lifeless, as she listens for the sound of dollar bills filling her bowl.... It's all part of the act.

A big part of getting to know a city is getting to know its people.
Asheville is a town with quite a lot of buskers, or street performers, some of whom start quite young.
That ensures visitors and residents a different soundtrack to the city each day, and lots of eye candy :)

Hej Kristin,
Even just lying down this strange blue girl does it nicely with her feer inside the circle of her hoop and her arms stretched out at different angles. You captured her from a POV where she fills the frame very well. Let's just hope she didn't catch a cold or get dirty.

The life for the poor is same round the globe. Its not different here in India, where these street jugglers can be find in plenty, performing their acts and then asking for the money.
Really life is tough, but at least that have the self esteem to work hard and not to indulge in anti social activities.
