Black Sand Beach -Hilo island - Hawaii:
Punaluʻu Beach (also called Black Sand Beach) is a beach between Pāhala and Nāʻālehu on the Big Island of the U.S. state of Hawaii. The beach has black sand made of basalt and created by lava flowing into the ocean which explodes as it reaches the ocean and cools. This volcanic activity is in the Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park. Punaluʻu is frequented by endangered Hawksbill and Green turtles, which can often be seen basking on the black sand.

Hello Sezai, very interesting image here, not the kind we usually see here on TE. I like the contrast. From what i know what remains after the eruption is a very fertile soil, so the plants grow on it. Good take.
Regards!

Hello Sezai - This is a fine observational shot and one that I like very much. The contrast between the dark, textural lava and the bright greens of the ferns is so eye-catching and attractive. Nature is so tenacious, what an encouraging shot!
Warm regards
Rosemary
