Photographer's Note

Balanced Rock is next to Arches National Park's main road, about 9 miles from the entrance. It's height is 39 meters. The balanced rock is the size of three school buses.

Hi Ray

I think I have a shot in my gallery of this same rock. It reminds me of Cappadocia in central Turkey. The warm reddish brown colors contrast superbly against the blue sky. Excellent sharpness and framing. Tfs.

i can't help it, when i see a large rock like this one, i feel the urge to push it over!
haha...but of course I would never do such a thing.

amazing how it just stands there like that, not even strong winds can blow it down.
pretty cool subject, liek the colors too.

Wow! I wouldn't want to be around this formation if the wind is blowing very hard, it looks like it is ready to tip over. I'm that that Boy Scout leader is not around to push this rock. Good pov and sharp details. Wonderful colors. WEll done, tfs.

Hi, Ray,
Superb shot! OMG! It needs some small earthquake and it will be "disbalanced". But this version looks better, just impressive construction!
As always I like this excellent blue&yellow combination , the colors of the Swedish (and Ukrainian) flags.

I passed by these rock around 6 times but the driver and guide of my chines tour didn't stop here, even for a fast photo. at that moment I discover the tour was a trap and I was very furious about that.
I took some images from inside the bus in movement, nothing so good like this one.
