Photographer's Note
The Grand Canyon's North Rim looks surprisingly like the south side. This view is from Bright Angel Point, a short stroll from the Visitor Center.
The driving distance from the South Rim to the North Rim is 341 kilometers, and takes about 4 1/2 hours.
Between May 15th and October 31st a Trans Canyon Shuttle runs once each day - reservations required.

Hello Ray, having never been to this part of America, it is difficult to imagine the scale of the Grand Canyon.Reading your notes I begin to get an idea,4 1/2 hours to drive!!
You have managed to show some of the depth with the light and shadow.
A good crop with just the merest piece of sky.
Natural colours.
Regards Jean.

Hello Ray,
Surprising to me but very interesting to know what the driving distance is between the North and the South Rim, in kilometers and in time.
Very beautiful capture of the various rock layers in their different colour.
Best regards, Paul

Hello Ray, I know this distance, I was on both rims. And it is easy to understand that it is so far, as the nearest bridge is Navajo bridge near Marble Canyon. But for me South and North Rim seemed rather different. Nice colours.

Ciao BrightAngelRay
What an enchanting place. This landscape really is so unique and untouched. A real treasure. Stunning colours and textures. I love the compo, with virtually all the sky cropped out. What happened to your Canon?
Stay well, keep fighting, love to your lady.
Cheers
Lisa
PS: thanks for asking about the Famiglia. We're okay. Both mum and dad have health problems, but they're old and very lucky to have made it this far
